by Emily Zimmerman
28 Oct 2009 11:14pm
Caption: FBI
Tonight around 8 p.m. the Detroit Office of the FBI broke up an alleged terrorist ring in Dearborn. According to WXYZ in Detroit, one man was shot to death, several others were arrested, and three are still at large. Luqman Ameen Abdullah was the ring leader of this group and is the man who was shot and killed by FBI officers. Abdullah had pulled his weapon with intent to shoot the officers during the raid. The group was tracked down at a warehouse at Michigan Avenue and Miller. All other suspects surrendered peacefully. The seven suspects in custody face federal charges for conspiracy to commit a number of federal cimes. Sources say the suspects belong to a radical Islamic group called "Ummah" or "The Brotherhood". Mujahid Carswell, Mohammad Alsahi, and Yassir Ali Khan are still at large.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the FBI at (313) 965-2323
