While walking off-campus on Monday night, a student was approached and robbed by an unknown man. The suspect hit the student on the side of his head with a baseball bat and demanded his backpack. When the student hesitated, the man hit him again with the bat. He then stole his backpack and got into the backseat of a red sedan and fled the scene. At the time the student was across from South Quad on Monroe Street. The incident took place around 11:36 p.m. The suspect is a white male around 5'7'' or 5'8'' last seen wearing a black ski mask and a hoodie.
